Scrappy Boho Cushion Cover Pattern - Liberty

The Liberty Scrappy Boho Quilt has been a pattern that Robyn from The Strawberry Thief has taught for years in classrooms around Australia – now she has taken this fun technique and used it to create a beautiful Liberty Scrappy Boho Cushion Cover Pattern!

These large floor cushions are perfect for lounging on and bring a wonderful touch of bohemia to any setting. They are a fantastic way to use up all of your precious Liberty scraps and would also make an excellent gift – Robyn made this set for her son when he moved out of home for the first time.

Robyn’s Scrappy Boho technique originally came about when she had lost her sew-jo and needed a project to just get her going and passionate about stitching again. She sat down behind her machine with a huge pile of Liberty offcuts and without any real plan – just enjoying playing with different colour combinations. As the different shapes and sizes of Liberty quickly came together it developed in to one of her favourite techniques for piecing Liberty!

This cushion project really is the perfect way to master the technique – there is no prescribed block size, just a few little tricks to get it to all to work nicely and to help you follow your instincts. The pattern will guide you through piecing and quilting your scrappy boho panel, then the steps for turning it in to this beautiful statement cushion cover. • Liberty Tana Lawn scraps
• 50cm Linen
• 75cm x 75cm square batting

EQUIPMENT NEEDED
• Tape measure, scissors & pins
• Sewing Machine & supplies
• Iron

• Cushion insert – we’ve used a 65cm square feather cushion insert
