Summertime Dilly Bag Sewing Kit

A sweet little kit to make your own Summertime Dilly Bag, using our selection of calm fabrics and the fabulous pattern from Bec at Sew.Be Curated. The bag is made using machine piecing and construction with some needle turn applique for the flowers. A great balance between slow and speedy stitching!

Finished size of the dilly bag is approximately 8" x 8" - a generous sized project or carry bag, and perfect to gift a friend!

The kit includes:

• (20) fat 16ths for the flower blocks. The amount of fabric provided is to achieve a nice scrappy yet cohesive look to your blocks and you will have a good amount of fabric left over, enough to even make more flower blocks. We have given you a bit of extra fabric to play with so you can be creative without feeling restricted to match our exact sample.
• 1/2 metre of fabric for the lining and base of the bag.
• 20cm of fabric for the casing pockets and drawstring. The pattern uses the same fabric as the lining for the casing pockets but we liked the look of them matching. 

Optional: paper pattern with acrylic template from Sew.Be Curated

You will need to source your own batting for the project. This is the perfect way to use up batting scraps from leftover projects, but if you don't have any on hand please leave us a note and we might just be able to sneak in a few scraps with your order.
