Gather Patchwork Basket Kit - Farm Garden - Easter 2025

A sewing kit to make your own precious patchwork basket. The panel can be sewn by hand (hexagons) or by machine (squares) and the rest is assembled by machine. 

Designed for our little ones who love to collect things, especially a few chocolate eggs on Easter morning!

The finished basket measures approximately 7" in diameter and 6" in height (not including handle).

The kit includes hand-cut 2.5" squares of fabric to make a basket in either hexagons or squares, similar to the sample basket shown. Please note in some instances the fabric will be provided in a larger square to allow fussy cutting opportunities. The kit also includes lining, fabric for the base and handle, and fusible foam and Parlan for the main body of the bag and handle.

Note on inner layer: we found through making our samples that fusible foam provided the most structured basket, whereas two layers of fusible fleece/Parlan resulted in a slightly looser, floppier basket. This is personal preference. We also found using two layers of fusible fleece/Parlan for the handle resulted in a more flexible handle whereas the foam tended to "bend" slightly when used for the handle.
